Job Description

Job Title:
Occupational Health Nurse Location:
Hemlock, MI 48626
Duration:
9+ Months contract (possibility of extension)
Schedule Notes:
Friday-Monday. (4•10) Hour shifts. 40 hours/weekly.
Duties:
Document and maintain employee medical records in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) or local regulatory requirements, ensuring privacy and confidentiality. Support the site's Medical Emergency Response Program. Manage the disability process by coordinating with insurance carriers, benefits, workers' compensation, safety teams, and company physicians to facilitate effective case management. Utilize Client's PIIM (Post Injury and Illness Management) program to support early and safe return-to-work through appropriate accommodations. Assist with tracking and managing FMLA requests in accordance with medical information and company/legal protocols. Perform regulatory surveillance exams as required by OSHA or local standards. Participate in Client Health and Safety Programs, including 24/7 initiatives such as fitness programs, flu shots, blood drives, and wellness activities. Support pandemic preparedness planning. Interact with external occupational medical providers as needed. Manage and maintain medical inventory for the site.
Requirements:
5+ years of Registered Nurse experience, preferably in occupational health. Active state MI RN license. Current CPR certification. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN | COHN-S) . Experience in Emergency Room, ICU, or Med/Surg nursing.
