Job Description

Occupational Therapist (OT) -
Pediatric Outpatient Facility OT Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Occupational Therapist with pediatric experience to work at an excellent multidisciplinary clinic in Monroe, Michigan. This is a fantastic opportunity to build upon your occupational therapy skills while advancing your OT career. The job will entail providing medical-based services to a large variety of pediatric patients, ranging from birth to teens. We are looking for a therapist who is compassionate about working with children and their families and is committed to helping them restore or achieve their optimal level of functional abilities. You could join our close-knit team of eight highly experienced OTs as well as PT, SLP, ABA, LSW, and certified lactation counselors. You would work directly with new and ongoing patients to create individualized plans of treatment that consist of appropriate exercises, procedures, and techniques to promote effective and safe progress.
Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrate clinical reasoning while evaluating patients, identifying diagnoses, and developing a comprehensive plan of care. Perform age-appropriate competency skills in areas of practice and with respect to individual patient's areas of growth. Follow intervention protocols and alter plan of care appropriately. Document patient progress according to approved medical and facility documentation procedures. Discharge patient when goals have been met, or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention. Work cooperatively with supervisors and peers to contribute to the overall productivity of the team. Is highly motivated, positive, and willing to learn.
Job Requirements:
Active state license as an occupational therapist 6 months of OT experience within the last 5 years
