MSAD 60 is looking for an Occupational Therapist to work with students in grades 7 through 12 at Noble Middle High school. MSAD 60 has a strong sense of community where service providers and special educators work collaboratively to deliver wrap around services. MSAD 60 is committed to educating students in the least restrictive environment using creative and innovative ideas and techniques. This position will serve students individually, in small groups, in the therapy room, in the life skills classroom, in the resource room, and/or in the regular education classroom. Job Responsibilities Design and implement therapy sessions to meet IEP Occupational therapy goals. Collect data to monitor and support progress toward IEP goals. Complete necessary paperwork in order to meet state regulations - progress reports, writing IEP goals, administering standardized assessments. Consistently communicate with all stakeholders - parents, students (as appropriate), regular education teachers, special education teachers, therapists, outside agencies, etc. Collaborate with special educators to plan and implement therapeutic activities to assist special education students to benefit from their educational experiences. Consult with regular educators to offer insight and accommodations to regular education programming for students with occupational therapy needs. Meet with district-wide occupational therapists to ensure consistent decision making and promotion of best practices.
