Category Therapy - Hospital - OT Job Type Contract Providing comprehensive outpatient occupational therapy services, this role focuses on evaluating and treating patients to support their functional return to community activities. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and modifying individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction. The position requires delegation and oversight of discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective care in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans with clear goals targeting discharge within established timeframes. Oversee and direct therapy services provided to assigned patients, ensuring effective functional rehabilitation. Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress accurately and timely using approved systems. Promote patient and employee safety through adherence to safety protocols including safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazard reporting. Serve as an educator and mentor to patients, families, students, and colleagues, promoting a positive learning environment. Maintain professional licensure, comply with state practice acts, and participate in ongoing professional development activities. Participate in quality improvement initiatives by offering feedback and engaging in performance improvement processes.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in good standing. Experience in outpatient and hospital-based therapy settings. Strong knowledge of clinical reasoning, treatment planning, and documentation standards. Ability to supervise and educate students and co-workers.
