Join a 13-week contract/travel assignment in Brooklyn Park, MD, starting ASAP.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
Compensation:
Travel $1,775/35 hours; Local $1,750/35 hours.
Requirements:
Active, valid Occupational Therapy state license. Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED-certified).
Core responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and environmental needs to identify limitations and establish measurable goals. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team. Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve functional independence and daily living skills. Recommend, fit, and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices. Provide hands-on instruction and practice for activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs to enhance safety and independence. Educate patients and caregivers on condition management, safety strategies, and community reintegration. Monitor, document, and modify treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and progress notes. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports. Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to support seamless transitions back to home, school, or work. Stay current with professional standards and participate in ongoing professional development. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
