Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-Time/PRN Occupational Therapist, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives across diverse settings. This role offers the flexibility of travel pay, allowing you to serve in various environments including outpatient clinics, schools, home health, skilled nursing facilities, and inpatient units. As an integral part of our team, you will evaluate and develop personalized treatment plans that promote independence and improve quality of life for individuals of all ages with a wide range of needs. Your proactive approach and compassionate care will help clients achieve their goals and regain confidence in their daily activities. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' functional abilities and needs across multiple settings such as outpatient clinics, schools, or post-acute care facilities Develop and implement tailored care plans focused on assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), discharge planning, and rehabilitation goals Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physicians, case managers, and educators to ensure cohesive patient care Provide hands-on therapy interventions for individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, or those recovering from acute or ICU stays Assist patients with mobility, coordination, strength, and physiology-based exercises to optimize recovery and independence Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment use, and safety precautions at home or in clinical settings Document patient progress accurately in medical records while adhering to healthcare regulations and standards Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and case management principles Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics (early intervention), school-aged children, adults in outpatient or inpatient settings, and geriatrics Proven ability to assist with ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility tasks Skilled in discharge planning and developing comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs Familiarity with inpatient care environments like ICU or skilled nursing facilities; home health experience is a plus Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients/families effectively Ability to adapt therapy techniques for individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities while maintaining a positive attitude Embark on a rewarding journey where your skills foster independence and enhance lives.
