Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity making a direct impact on students' lives by providing Occupational Therapy services in a supportive school environment near Haydenville, MA. This contract position involves working two days per week for the remainder of the school year, supporting a caseload of approximately 11 students. Most students receive services 1-2 times weekly, with sessions lasting 20-30 minutes either individually or in small groups.
Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant certification for school-based practice Experience delivering OT services in educational settings strongly preferred Skilled in both direct intervention and consultative collaboration with school staff and families Ability to assess student needs and develop effective, individualized treatment plans Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Compassionate and flexible approach to working with children of diverse backgrounds and needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services as well as consultative support for students Deliver interventions both individually and in small groups, targeting functional school-based goals Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress notes, and data tracking Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate OT recommendations into classroom routines Participate in student evaluations, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed Adjust strategies based on student response and ongoing assessment You'll enjoy the flexibility of a part-time schedule, working just two days a week, while building meaningful connections with students and the broader school community.
