Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing essential occupational therapy services in a dynamic, school-based setting in the Fredericksburg, VA, area. This contract role is ideal for forward-thinking Occupational Therapists eager to support K-12 learners and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Two positions are available, offering a fulfilling opportunity to advance your career while making a difference.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy Active Virginia OT license (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience in school-based OT environments is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other specialists
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify student needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans focusing on fine motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living functions Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to maximize student success Maintain detailed and compliant documentation in accordance with state and district regulations Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering insight and expertise in goal development Foster greater independence for students through supportive interventions and strategies
Caseload & Schedule:
Serve a diverse population of students across kindergarten to twelfth grade Commit to a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, following the academic calendar with holiday and break observances If you're ready to take the next step in your occupational therapy career and contribute to a supportive and impactful school community, apply now.
