Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students' growth and development in an educational setting near Bedford, NH! This contract opportunity is tailored for a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) who thrives in school environments and enjoys the unique pace of Extended School Year (ESY) programs. You'll play an instrumental role by providing expertise and encouragement to help students achieve their highest potential. You'll deliver services just one day per week, for two and a half hours each session, offering a balanced way to contribute your skills while maintaining flexibility in your schedule. This is an excellent fit for OTs who excel in short-term or supplemental positions, or those looking to add valuable school-based experience to their portfolio.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid and current Occupational Therapy license Experience supporting students within school settings, particularly ESY programs Ability to assess and implement IEP goals effectively Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff Organized and adaptable, with a positive approach to new challenges
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct OT services to students as outlined in their individual education plans (IEPs) Evaluate students' needs and progress, adjusting interventions as necessary Document sessions and update progress reports according to district requirements Collaborate with classroom staff to integrate activities that enhance student participation Offer recommendations to support sensory, fine motor, and self-regulation skills in the school environment This part-time role offers the satisfaction of direct impact with an exceptionally manageable commitment.
