Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist for a 12-week contract at the beginning of the 26/27 academic year. This position provides the chance to support students' development and make a measurable impact while covering a leave of absence. You'll join a collaborative setting where your expertise is valued as part of a comprehensive student support team.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active OT state license (or eligibility for Texas licensure prior to start) Prior experience working in a school setting strongly preferred Knowledgeable about pediatric occupational therapy techniques, assessments, and strategies Comfortable working with diverse student populations, including those with varying abilities and needs Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other professionals
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy services to students as assigned Collaborate with educational staff to help integrate occupational therapy goals into classroom activities Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations for accommodations and supports Educate staff and families on strategies to maximize students' independence and engagement at school This full-time contract offers you the chance to enjoy a dynamic and supportive school environment while making a real difference in students' daily lives.
