Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role as an Occupational Therapist supporting students' development in a dynamic educational setting near Cottonwood, CA. This full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week) focuses on making a significant impact throughout the school year, engaging with students directly on-site. If you are passionate about empowering young learners and eager to broaden your skills in school-based therapy, this role offers a fulfilling path within a collaborative team environment. Your background in a variety of OT settings—such as school-based practice, home health, teletherapy, and general healthcare—will be highly valued. Onsite work is preferred, ensuring stronger connections with students and staff and maximizing your impact within the school community.
What We're Looking For:
Valid California Occupational Therapy license Experience working in school, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy OT environments Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and related documentation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to adapt interventions as needed for individual or group settings Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Evaluating students' skills and needs to support IEP development Delivering evidence-based, individualized occupational therapy services Collaborating with educators, families, and support teams to promote student success Tracking and reporting progress, and maintaining required documentation Supporting inclusion and participation in daily school activities Providing consultation and education to staff and family members as needed Immerse yourself in a supportive school environment where your expertise will help students achieve greater independence and confidence.
