Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact helping students reach their full potential as an Occupational Therapist in an engaging school environment near Youngsville, LA. This contract opportunity provides a dynamic setting where your clinical skills can make a difference in the daily lives of children and young adults while allowing you to grow professionally.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current OT license in Louisiana (or eligibility to obtain) Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly regarded Solid understanding of IEP development, educational goals, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills Adaptability, compassion, and a proactive approach to addressing student needs
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students' strengths and areas for therapeutic intervention Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals Deliver direct and consultative OT services within classrooms and therapy spaces Communicate progress and recommendations with educators, parents, and support staff Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing IEP meetings Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions as required Encourage student independence in classroom tasks, daily living skills, and social interactions
