Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a real difference in students' lives by supporting their growth and independence! This part-time contract opportunity allows you to bring your occupational therapy expertise to a school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. Work collaboratively with educators and families to help students fully participate in classroom and school activities while delivering the highest level of care.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state (or eligibility to obtain) Prior experience working in a school-based or pediatric therapy setting strongly preferred Familiarity with developing, implementing, and tracking Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, families, and students Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt strategies to meet unique student needs Dependability, flexibility, and a passion for empowering students
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate students' functional skills within the school setting Develop and implement individualized therapy interventions in alignment with IEP requirements Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to enhance students' participation and success Maintain accurate documentation of progress, session notes, and required reports Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations or modifications Support educational staff through training and resources on strategies for student success
