Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity designed for a talented Occupational Therapist with expertise across educational and healthcare settings. This full-time position, running from August 4, 2026, to May 28, 2027, offers the chance to make a profound difference for students from PreK through 12th grade. You'll manage a caseload typically ranging from 45 to 50 students, empowering young learners with essential skills to thrive in both academic and daily living environments.
Key Qualifications:
Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Demonstrated experience in school-based, home health, and general healthcare OT practice. Familiarity with supporting diverse student populations, including those with various physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and external providers. Ability to maintain accurate records and contribute actively to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess student needs and develop individualized occupational therapy plans tailored to unique strengths and challenges. Deliver direct therapy services within classroom, clinical, and—when applicable—home environments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support and review IEPs and intervention strategies. Provide consultations and training for teachers, staff, and families to reinforce therapeutic goals throughout the school day and at home. Track progress, document intervention outcomes, and modify plans as needed to ensure ongoing student success. This contract role offers a structured weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, supporting a healthy work-life balance while fostering professional growth in a dynamic, supportive environment.
