Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Exciting opportunities await talented Occupational Therapists interested in making an impact in school-based settings! This contract role supports students from preschool through 12th grade, offering a chance to work collaboratively within a diverse educational community near Limon, CO. You'll be instrumental in helping students develop skills needed for academic and personal growth, while balancing direct interventions with the broader responsibilities of a school OT. This opportunity spans the academic year, ensuring the continuity students need to thrive.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in Colorado or eligible for reciprocity Previous experience in a school setting preferred, with strong understanding of IEP processes Comfortable working with a broad age range, including preschoolers through high school students Skilled in conducting assessments, writing reports, and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings Strong communication and organizational abilities Technology proficiency for documentation and, if needed, virtual service delivery Adaptable and collaborative, able to build rapport with students, staff, and familiesKey Responsibilities:
Perform initial and ongoing assessments to determine student needs and progress Deliver both direct and indirect OT services in accordance with each student's IEP Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, collaborating actively with educators and support teams Document services and progress in compliance with school and regulatory requirements Consult with teachers and staff, providing strategies to support students' educational participation Participate in professional development as part of the educational communityPerks & Benefits:
