Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as an onsite occupational therapist during Extended School Year (ESY) coverage. This position offers the chance to make a positive, lasting impact on children from birth to age three while collaborating with dedicated educators and professionals. The assignment starts June 15, 2026, and runs through July 24, 2026, providing essential developmental services throughout the summer session. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with select days off (June 19 and June 29-July 3). Finalized daily hours will be confirmed by the district prior to your start date.
Desired Qualifications:
Current and valid Occupational Therapist license for Minnesota Experience working with early childhood and birth-to-three caseloads in a school-based setting Solid understanding of pediatric evaluation and intervention strategies Confidence in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families Ability to implement individualized treatment plans to help students achieve their developmental goals Up-to-date resume and MN OT license (applications cannot be considered without these documents)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to a birth-to-three caseload in accordance with students' Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans in partnership with team members Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in line with district requirements Provide consultative support and coaching to families and classroom staff Collaborate on team meetings and contribute expert insights into student progress Take the next step in your career and make a difference for some of the youngest learners in the Forest Lake community.
