This exciting opportunity near Melrose Park, IL, is seeking a dedicated professional skilled in diverse OT settings, including schools, home health, healthcare, and teletherapy. Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current and valid OT license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience working in school settings is highly preferred Experience in home health, healthcare, and/or teletherapy is a strong asset Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills Comfortable adapting interventions for a diverse student population Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments of students to identify strengths and areas for growth Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support academic and functional success Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers to ensure a holistic approach Utilize evidence-based practices across various service models (in-person, home-based, and teletherapy) Document services and progress in accordance with school and district guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
