Job Description

About the Company Clean Earth is a small, family-owned business that makes and sells enzyme-based, eco-friendly cleaning products sold nationwide through Whole Foods (via UNFI), Amazon, and our own web store The Role They're looking for a part-time office and warehouse helper who can take daily tasks off the owner's plate. You'll be the person who keeps orders moving, keeps QuickBooks accurate, and keeps the warehouse organized. The owner will train you, but you need to be computer-literate, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently once you've got the hang of it. This is a small business. There's no HR department, no onboarding portal, no corporate structure. You'll work closely with the owner, you'll learn the whole operation, and you'll have real responsibility from the start.
Schedule & Pay Hours:
15-25 hours per week to start, with potential to grow

Location:
On-site at our office/warehouse in New Jersey (not remote) What You'll Do Office Operations (most of your time) Check email daily and flag orders, vendor communications, and customer inquiries Process incoming purchase orders in QuickBooks (enter PO number, items, quantities, pricing) Process orders through our EZCom platform (we'll train you) Create and track invoices, match payments to open invoices Prepare bills of lading and packing slips from document templates Coordinate with our logistics contact (a weekly Thursday contact to confirm Monday pickups) Handle routine vendor emails and phone calls on owner's behalf when needed Respond to customer inquiries Shopify / Direct-to-Consumer Orders Check Shopify for new orders Pick product from warehouse shelves, pack boxes, print shipping labels Hand off packages to carrier (end of day) Enter Shopify sales in QuickBooks Amazon FBA Support Apply Amazon FBA labels to individual product units (sticker work) Label master cartons and skids per Amazon requirements Help prepare and stage inventory for Amazon shipments Light Warehouse Work Pack smaller products at the warehouse,(pick product, box, applying labels) Receive vendor deliveries Keep warehouse organized Do a basic inventory eyeball on a regular basis and flag anything that looks low
Bookkeeping Support End-of-month:
enter all Shopify and Amazon payments received into QuickBooks Enter vendor bills as they arrive Assist bookkeeper with monthly reconciliation
What You Need Required:
QuickBooks familiarity
  • this is the core system for everything financial. You don't need to be an expert, but you need to be comfortable entering orders, creating invoices, and looking up records. If you've used QuickBooks in any capacity, that's enough. Microsoft Office
  • Excel, Word, Outlook. We use Word for document templates, Excel for tracking, Outlook for email. Computer literate
  • you'll be learning EZCom (EDI), Shopify, and the Amazon Seller Central interface. None of these are hard to learn, but you need to be someone who figures out new software without hand-holding. Reliable and detail-oriented
  • one wrong quantity on an EDI order or one missed invoice causes real problems. This job rewards people who double-check their work. Self-directed
  • after the training period, you'll run the daily workflow on your own. The owner is available for questions, but you shouldn't need to be managed. Able to do light physical work
