Job Duties The Division of Liquor Control supports Ohio's economy by providing funding for job creation and business development through the proceeds from Ohio's liquor industry. The division ensures Ohioans have access to the products they want by overseeing the manufacture, distribution and sale of all alcoholic beverages, selling spirituous liquor through contract liquor agencies and registering products for sale. The division promotes the responsible consumption of alcohol by educating the public, and ensuring that businesses are informed and trained on their responsibilities not to sell to underage or intoxicated individuals. This position is a temporary, intermittent position and cannot exceed 1000 hours in a fiscal year.
What You'll Do:
Perform confidential legal secretarial work for office attorneys Produce typed copy of legal documents and correspondence (e.g. letters, continuances, certificates of service) using Microsoft Office and other software applications (i.e., correspondence of a routine nature which does not require interpretation of the policies or legal issues) to clients, staff or general public Work under general supervision & requires considerable knowledge of clerical functions & office procedures Compile & generate reports involving complex technical, legal, statistical & confidential material from written copy or oral instructions Enter confidential data & identifying information & retrieves data/reports within computer system Respond both verbally & in writing to questions & concerns Why Work for the State of Ohio At the State of Ohio, we take care of the team that cares for Ohioans.
