SAGE Dining Services® is seeking experienced on-call Culinary professionals (Cooks) and Food Service Workers for a private boarding school located in Tilton, NH. An on-call Cook prepares, cooks, and plates food items according to recipes and safety standards on an as-needed, flexible basis. They support kitchen teams during busy periods or staff shortages, requiring strong adaptability, knowledge of food safety (HACCP), and the ability to work in fast-paced environments. An on-call Food Service Worker prepares and serves food, operates cash registers, and maintains sanitation standards on an as-needed or flexible basis. They are responsible for tasks like washing/peeling food, cleaning equipment, and assisting with service, often working short-notice shifts. Key skills include adhering to safety guidelines and providing friendly customer service. Flexible schedule, you're not locked into fixed hours. All shifts and days are available! Great opportunity to get your foot in the door, you could move into part time or full time when something opens up. Opportunity to pick up extra hours/money!

What you'll do: Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing. Interact cheerfully with SAGE guests and Team Members, providing service with a smile. Oversee the preparation of menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes. Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques always (HACCP). Clean all work areas, equipment, and guest service areas on an ongoing basis. Assist with the inventory of food products and developing order sheets. Train, motivate, and oversee Cooks and culinary Team Members. Set a good example each day by being a role model and leader in the kitchen. Adapt to additional duties as assigned by management. Endure exposure to extreme temperatures; intense heat and freezing cold. What you'll need: Culinary knowledge and cooking experience required. Culinary degree preferred, but not required. Strong organizational skills required. Experience delegating tasks and following up with Team Members. Capacity to train and motivate others. ServSAFE® certification preferred, but not required.
