  • Part-time, Full-time About Riverwood Resort Riverwood is a beloved Colorado property offering guests a peaceful, nature-driven getaway.
Nestled along the Gunnison River, we provide a welcoming, well-kept retreat for families and outdoor enthusiasts seeking a genuine Colorado experience. We take pride in our personal touch, clean and comfortable accommodations, and the kind of warm hospitality that keeps guests coming back year after year. We are looking for a hands-on, reliable Onsite Manager to be the heartbeat of daily operations — someone who takes ownership, cares about the details, and genuinely enjoys creating a great experience for guests. Overview The Onsite Property Manager is the primary point of contact for guests and staff at Riverwood. This is a working management role — you will split your time between front desk responsibilities, hands-on maintenance tasks, and overseeing a small team of four. The right candidate is equally comfortable greeting a guest at check-in, unclogging a drain, coordinating housekeeping turnovers, and trimming a hedge. No two days look the same, and that's exactly what makes this role rewarding. Because this is an on-site position, the manager will be available during emergencies and peak periods and will serve as the primary after-hours contact when needed. Onsite housing can be arranged. Duties Oversee most aspects of hotel and campground operations, ensuring exceptional guest services and satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have specialization in at least one of the two realms of responsibility: (a) physical infrastructure/maintenance or (b) operations/management/guest services. Accounting or bookkeeping is a big plus. Supervise front desk staff, including managing multi-line phone systems, phone etiquette, and guest check-in/check-out procedures. Coordinate reservations, room assignments, and campground site bookings using hospitality management software. Lead revenue management initiatives to optimize occupancy rates and maximize profitability through strategic pricing and promotions. Lead daily responsibilities for staff including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations for team members. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, conduct night audits, and handle emergency situations promptly. Foster positive guest relations by addressing concerns swiftly and professionally while maintaining high standards of hospitality and guest services. Experience Proven supervising experience in hospitality or hotel management roles within resort or campground environments. Background in hotel experience with knowledge of front desk operations, guest relations, and hotel management systems. Demonstrated expertise in revenue management, budgeting, and financial oversight to support operational goals. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms. Conversational Spanish is a plus. Prior experience working in a hospitality setting that emphasizes guest services, and outdoor recreation will set you up for success. Embark on this exciting journey where your leadership transforms ordinary stays into extraordinary experiences! Required Stellar references from jobs with similar responsibilities or skills 2+ years of experience in property management, hospitality, campground operations, or a related hands-on role Comfortable performing light-to-moderate maintenance and repair tasks independently Strong interpersonal skills — warm, professional, and patient with guests and staff alike Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision Experience with reservation or property management software (or demonstrated ability to learn quickly) Availability to work weekends, holidays, and respond to after-hours needs as required Comfortable living on-site or valid driver's license and reliable transportation
