Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Advance your career by delivering critical care in a dynamic perioperative environment. This contract opportunity calls for experienced professionals with a background in Operating Room nursing (RN) and Certified Surgical Technology. Utilize your specialized skills in a collaborative setting, supporting surgical teams and contributing to positive patient outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time, flexible shifts based on surgical volumes
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credentials Demonstrated experience in an acute care Operating Room environment Strong understanding of aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and patient safety standards Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for procedures, ensuring optimal sterilization and organization Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support staff throughout procedures Perform circulating and/or scrubbing duties according to assignment Monitor patient status during operations, promptly alerting the team to any changes Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and compliance guidelines Maintain accurate surgical documentation and contribute to patient handoffs Assist with post-operative patient care and operating room turnover as needed
