(Shigotosagashi.com) 9 reviews From $60,000 a year - Full-time Currently our client, a Japanese Logistics Company, is looking for an Operation Manager. 【Location】Grapevine, TX 【Position】Operation Manager 【Compensation】$60,000 【Hiring Syle】Direct hiring, Full-time Job Description ・Ensures that operations and customer service are rendered in a professional, timely, and accurate fashion. ・Shipment arrangements (coordinate with customs broker, carriers, truckers, and customers) correctly in timely manner. ・Assists coordinator staff in solving operational issues, customer service items and client issues. ・To handle and supervise International Forwarding (Air & Ocean) operation, Warehouse distribution, Truck service, Moving service and Accounting operation independently with quality service and high level of performance. ・Complete billing in timely manner includes creating billing, sending out, processing vender invoices. Then collect payments. ・Ensures that accounting matters are reported promptly and accurately. ・Cooperate with sales staff and actively generate new business and maintain business activity. ・Assists coordinator staff establishing relationships with prospective clients, qualifying our services for the needs of the client and understanding the client's business needs. ・o provide quotation when needed to customers or oversea agents. ・Ensure accurate pricing for services offered and rendered as rate negotiation team. ・To contribute our company to maximize the profit by minimizing the cost. ・Monitors uncollected A/R and take appropriate and timely action. ・Assists in performance evaluations, Takes disciplinary actions when necessary. Qualifications ・To follow company rules & standard operation procedures to be able to work independently. ・Excellent computer skills and proficient in typing, excel, word, outlook, Web, Cargo wise, Company internal system, etc. ・Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. ・Knowledge of freight forwarding business and knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices. ・Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives. ・Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style. ・Excels at operating in a fast pace environment. ・Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done. ・Ability to look at situations from several points of view. ・Extensive experience in import/export operations and customer service within the logistics industry. ・Proficient in PC operations including Excel, Email, CargoWise, internal business systems, and Web applications. ・A cheerful, highly communicative, and cooperative team player.
