Job Description
The Operations Coordinator for the Deborah Koenig Early Childhood Center at JCC Rockland serves as a central point of communication among teachers, families, and the larger organization, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the center. Responsibilities include administrative support, staff onboarding and compliance tracking, inventory and supply management, coordination of facility needs, and supervision of our late care program and staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive and professional presence within our school community. Key Responsibilities
- Answering, fielding and responding to day to day phone calls and emails
- Filing of staff and child paperwork
- Tracking staff paperwork, performing background checks and upload to NYS agency database
- Tracking staff mandatory training hours, upload to NYS central agency
- Facliiting needs of classroom teachers
- Creating and maintaining weekly attendance sheets, emergency contact lists, permissions lists, allergy lists
- Maintaining up to date medical records for children and filling out NYS annual imminuzation compliace survey
- Ensuring families are connected to various communication channels of the school
- Tracking and placing annual inventory
- Order and deliver weekly food and supplies
- Coding spending receipts and submitting to financial department
- Help plan and coordinate staff meetings and special events
- Manage transition of classrooms and equipment as it relates to seasonal programmatic changes
- Sub in rooms when necessary
- Supervise late care until close of program; managing late care staff, children and communicating with families Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
- Excellent leadership, organization and interpersonal skills
- High energy and ability to work well in fast paced environment
- Strong time management skills
- Desire to work with children
- Flexibility a must Job Requirements Associates Degree Required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred Minimum 2 years office experience Must clear background check
