Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to join our team and drive excellence across our supply chain and logistics operations. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate and optimize processes related to warehouse distribution, transportation management, procurement, and inventory control. Your proactive approach will ensure seamless order fulfillment, efficient materials handling, and robust vendor management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to process improvements, leverage data analysis skills, and support our supply chain analytics initiatives to enhance overall operational efficiency. Duties Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, inventory management, and materials handling to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Coordinate transportation planning and logistics activities using transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP or AS400. Manage procurement processes, including sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and overseeing purchasing activities to secure optimal pricing and supplier relationships. Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies to develop actionable solutions for process improvement. Utilize data collection tools, SQL queries, and Tableau dashboards for supply chain analytics, demand planning, and performance reporting. Supervise warehouse management system (WMS) operations to maintain accurate inventory control and stock levels. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), freight carriers, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and vendor partners to streamline freight movement and order fulfillment. Support production planning by coordinating materials management, inventory stocking, and demand forecasting to meet customer expectations. Ensure compliance with safety standards for mechanical equipment such as forklifts and other warehouse machinery. Assist in contract management, vendor evaluation, and supplier performance monitoring to optimize supply chain effectiveness. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics coordination with a strong understanding of warehouse distribution systems. Proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP or AS400), warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and SQL for data analysis. Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, negotiation, pricing strategies, and vendor management. Familiarity with inventory control techniques like MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and demand planning methodologies. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets using Tableau or similar tools for supply chain analytics. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments including logistics, procurement, production planning, and vendor relations.
