Operations, Maintenance, and Monitoring Technician 615 N Delmar Ave, Hartford, IL 62048 $25

  • Full-time 212 Environmental is looking for a professional for the role of Operations, Maintenance, and Monitoring (OMM) Technician at a remediation site located approximately 30 minutes east of St.
Louis, Missouri. This is a skilled, hourly position with an expectation of being able to work independently within a small, focused team. Effective communication skills, positive attitude, and the ability to adapt and learn new things quickly are critical for success within 212 Environmental. We are seeking candidates that care about outcomes and want to make a difference each day. Here is what we offer for the right OMM technician:
  • $25 to $30 per hour

  • Positive work environment with an expectation of professionalism and independence The duties and responsibilities for the maintenance technician include: 1.
Operating and maintaining motors, blowers, oil-water separators, pumps, oxidizers, and other treatment system equipment 2. Monitoring and maintaining recovery wells 3. Collecting vapor, water, and soil samples for compliance purposes 4. Overseeing subcontractors 5. Conducting preventative maintenance activities with the aid of a Maintenance Manager applications 6. Stewarding health and safety programs 7. Experience with equipment maintenance, industrial maintenance, and maintenance & repair. 8. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in on-site settings. 9. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus. We desire an applicant with the following skills and experience:
  • At least one-year technical training in maintenance activities including electrical, plumbing, and controls
  • Acquired skills necessary to operate and troubleshoot motors, blowers, valves, pumps, compressors, and other system equipment
  • Familiar with computer-based applications for system controls, SQL database, and maintenance activities
  • Proficiency in conducting preventive maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and efficiency
  • Problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset to address technical challenges
  • Basic knowledge of environmental systems and regulatory compliance is an advantage
  • Proficient with various hand and power tools
  • Ability to independently lift 50 pounds and work continuously outdoors including inclement weather
  • Possess or ability to obtain an Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Wastewater Operator certification
  • Possess or ability to obtain a 40-Hour
OSHA HAZWOPER
certification
  • Strong communication and partnership skills to enable seamless collaboration with colleagues and others working inside and outside the project team
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a technical college is preferred but not required The right candidate will become part of our team of industry leading professionals and will support our execution at a large-scale environmental remediation project.
