Operations Manager

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Operations Manager to lead our retail operations with energy and precision. Duties Lead and supervise daily store activities, including sales, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service to ensure smooth operations. Develop and implement strategies for achieving sales targets, managing budgets, and controlling expenses to maximize profitability. Recruit, interview, train, and mentor staff to foster a motivated and high-performing team aligned with company standards. Oversee employee orientation programs and ongoing training & development initiatives to enhance team skills. Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accuracy and compliance. Coordinate purchasing, inventory management, stock replenishment, pricing strategies, and merchandising efforts to optimize product availability. Supervise shift management, scheduling, employee performance evaluations, and enforce store policies to maintain a positive work environment. Cultivate excellent customer service by addressing escalations promptly and ensuring the team delivers a memorable shopping experience. Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store traffic and sales. Maintain organized records of sales data, inventory levels, budgets, and other administrative documentation. Experience Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with a focus on store management or assistant manager roles. Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising teams across multiple shifts with strong communication skills. Experience with retail math including pricing strategies, sales management, budgeting, and inventory control. Skilled in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing techniques, and training & development practices. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively. Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping practices, and stock management software. Prior experience in retail sales environments such as grocery stores or wireless sales is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently while overseeing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
