Job Description
North Hartland Tool Corporation is seeking an Operations Manager to join one of our operations in central Connecticut. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing and controlling all daily operations of the facility in the most cost-effective manner, ensuring customer satisfaction by leading and coaching a high-performance team. Job Responsibilities Manages and evaluates facility productivity Oversees daily operations of all manufacturing and design inputs and outputs Interfaces and coordinates transportation, customer service, account management, and sales Manages, monitors, and evaluates workflow and reporting within operations Delegates appropriate authority/responsibility, establishing and ensuring accountability within the team for performance Ensures that duties, responsibilities, authority, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood Responsible for facility management to include coordination of maintenance, groundskeeping, painting (touch-up), carpet cleaning, garage, and overall facility cleanliness Implements and oversees cost control measures to strengthen gross profit and contribution Oversees monthly budget, including the measurement of budget success to actual performance, and annual draft budgets for respective facility Establishes and consistently meets/exceeds department service goals & objectives Responsible for interview, hiring, evaluation, professional development, retention and dismissal of subordinate staff to include monitoring of attendance and productivity Cultivates a positive work environment with special focus on employee relations, in line with state and federal labor laws Ensures safety practices are maintained within departments and all regulatory requirements are met and exceeded Accomplishes efficiency in production and distribution by communicating job expectations to employees by planning, monitoring, and appraising job results Establishes and monitors process control parameters necessary to achieve expected departmental performance Other duties as assigned Qualifications Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to changing priorities with attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years management experience Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to optimize the performance of team members Experience in problem analysis and resolution. Strong critical thinking; using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Effective listening skills Manufacturing Management experience preferred
