Full Job Description SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for overseeing the efficient and timely fulfillment and shipment of customer orders, as well as the receipt and stewardship of inventories.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees receiving, warehousing, production, distribution and maintenance operations. Maintains standards of health and safety, hygiene and security. Organizes workflow to meet specifications and deadlines. Monitors production to resolve issues. Ensures output meets quality standards. Manages stock control and reconciles with data storage system. Determines amount of necessary resources (workforce, materials, supplies). Coordinates (with SVP of Operations) recruiting, orientation, and training of personnel. Supervises and evaluates performance of warehouse personnel. Recommends and seeks approval for shipping/shop supplies and maintenance/capital expenditures. Attends daily management meetings with SVP of Operations Communicates with members of sales team on order delays, work orders, and order related inventory issues Operates forklift, shears, band saws, chop saws, and tumblers Facilitates disposal of waste Assists with packaging of materials when needed Occasionally operate flatbed truck to pick up/drop off materials at 3rd party vendors Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises all hourly warehouse personnel within the facility. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Approves bi-weekly time and attendance records for payroll processing. Coordinates scheduling and approval of PTO (Paid Time Off) requests Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of machine operation and small team lead/management experience, associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is a plus.
Forklift Experience Computer skills required:
