Job description: Operator Leadville, CO Starting rate $33.73/hour with time grade increases Hours per
Shift:
Monday through Thursday/ 10 Hour shift rotationOvertime Required Operator:
Loads bulk blasting agents into blast holes. Drills blast holes. Performs routine and emergency maintenance on vehicles and equipment used at mine site. Records loading, drilling and maintenance information on various forms and reports. Our company provides explosives and explosives related services to the quarry, construction, and mining industries in the Western United States. Experience with explosive related products and services or other hazardous materials is not required, but desired. For those who are new to the industry, extensive training will be provided. To that end, all successful applicants will need to consent to a background, drug and alcohol screening as well as random and reasonable suspicion, and post-accident screenings after joining our organization.Job Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a current MSHA, if not, MSHA training will be provided with our training department.
- Must be willing and able to learn and understand tasks associated with explosives handling under supervision.
- Must be willing to drive, load, unload and assist customers with hazardous materials in accordance with DOT, MSHA, or OSHA regulations.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, squat, or kneel for long periods of time on frequent basis as well as lift and carry loads up to fifty-five pounds for multiple hours per day.
- Must enjoy working outside as well as being exposed to changes in temperatures on a continuous basis.
- Must be willing to learn and understand all the health and safety aspects of the blasting and explosives industry.
- Must be willing to learn and grow your skills and abilities to the benefit of yourself and others.
- No felonies.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.ENVIRONMENATAL FACTORS
