Mercyhealth System is currently seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Ophthalmologist to join our collaborative and growing eye care team serving McHenry and Algonquin, Illinois. This is an outstanding opportunity to build a thriving ophthalmology practice within a well-supported, multispecialty health system equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical technology.

Opportunity Overview:

Salary Range:

$425,000 - $500,000 Full-Time Position Flexible scheduling Shared office call (weekly rotation with another Ophthalmologist)

Departmental Scope:

Comprehensive ophthalmology practice including: Cataract surgery Goniotomy procedures Premium lens implants Laser procedures Minor in-office surgical procedures

Procedures & Capabilities:

Laser YAG Capsulotomy Laser Peripheral Iridotomy (LPI) Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) Chalazion removal Lid lesion excision Steroid injections Foreign body removal Punctal plug insertion

Equipment Includes:

Zeiss OCT Humphrey Visual Field ASCAN Lenstar Corneal Topography Slit lamps Phoropters Comprehensive surgical instrumentation

Required Qualifications:

MD or DO degree Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology Completion of accredited Ophthalmology residency Eligible for Illinois medical licensure Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range:
