Optometric Technician

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. Duties

• Pretesting patients including: Visual Fields Testing ERG Testing (handheld and Diopsys machine) DRS (Digital Retina Scan) Autorefractor OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) Handheld IOP Visual Acuties Distance & Near Patient History & Questions
• Enter patient test results in our software system (ODLink)
• Conduct color vision testing
• Perform 3-D stereo card testing
• Additional responsibilities include assisting at the front desk by answering phones as needed, checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, and facilitating contact lens training and sales. Requirements
• Experience in pretesting patients with similar or the same equipment
• Experience or knowledge in eye care is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to optometry preferred
• Strong patient care skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service Benefits
