Optometrist - Part Time

Job Overview We are seeking a part-time Optometrist to join our team with the possibility of a permanent position in the future! Days include Monday 8-5 and Saturdays 9-1. An ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and a passion for providing exceptional contact lens services. This role involves examining, diagnosing, and treating visual problems while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and satisfaction. The Optometrist will work closely with our Ophthalmologist providing vision exam and contact lens services. We serve patients of all ages. Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases. Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, including prescribing corrective lenses. Provide patient education on eye health, vision correction options, and preventive care. Maintain accurate medical records using EMR and EHR systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Stay updated on OCT and Fundus Photos in ophthalmology and optometry practices. Deliver excellent customer service to enhance patient experiences. Some assistance in sales of glasses. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state license to practice optometry. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical coding related to eye care. Experience in Myopia Management is preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for efficient record management. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
