OR Circulator Registered Nurse (RN) Full Time

Florida Cardiology - Clermont Ambulatory Surgery Center Clermont, FL Florida Cardiology is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our Clermont Ambulatory Surgery Center. The OR Circulator RN plays a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the surgical process. Position Summary The OR Circulator RN is responsible for coordinating and delivering nursing care in the operating room during surgical procedures. This role ensures patient safety, maintains sterile technique, supports surgeons and anesthesia staff, and ensures compliance with regulatory and clinical standards. Key Responsibilities Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures Prepare the operating room and ensure proper equipment and supplies are available Verify patient identification, procedure, and surgical site according to safety protocols Monitor patient condition throughout surgical procedures Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control standards Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff Document surgical care accurately in the EMR Ensure compliance with ASC, CMS, and accreditation standards Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery Provide post-procedure patient care and documentation as needed Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Licensure Current Registered Nurse (RN) license - State of Florida BLS Certification required ACLS Certification preferred Experience Minimum 1-2 years of Operating Room experience Experience in ambulatory surgery center (ASC) environment Experience with cardiovascular or specialty procedures is a plus Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment Strong attention to detail and patient safety practices Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively Working Conditions Ambulatory surgery center environment Standing for extended periods during surgical procedures Ability to lift or assist patients when necessary Why Join Florida Cardiology?
