Key Qualifications:

Active, unencumbered RN license Previous nursing experience in the Operating Room (OR) setting Strong understanding of aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and intraoperative protocols Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and support staff BLS and ACLS certification preferred Adaptability to changing surgical schedules and patient needs

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments prior to procedures Assess patient status preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout surgical procedures, anticipating needs and responding promptly Monitor patient vital signs and overall condition during surgery Uphold strict infection control protocols and maintain a sterile field at all times Document care provided and communicate clearly with all members of the healthcare team Provide support and information to patients and families regarding perioperative care If you are a motivated and detail-oriented RN with proven OR experience, your skills will be valued and make a significant impact within this surgical department.
