OR Registered Nurse

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity awaits for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse on a contract basis. This position is ideal for professionals skilled in perioperative care and focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for surgical patients. The facility features 19 operating suites, managing an average of 55-60 cases daily, offering exposure to various surgical specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, robotics, and more.

Schedule/Hours:

10:45 a.m. - 9:15 p.m. with rotating days off Weekday and weekend call required (general call averages every 7th weekend; no routine weekday call) Weekend coverage required approximately once per quarter Strict 75-mile radius required from your driver's license address to the facility

Qualifications:

Active RN license 2-3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required BLS and ACLS certifications Meditech EMR experience preferred Proficient with a wide variety of surgical cases; competence across most specialties necessary OR techs must be CST certified Reliable attendance, punctuality, and adaptability are essential Ability to cover call within competencies, including ortho/neuro and cardio/thoracic if experienced Willingness to rotate holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality patient care during perioperative phases Monitor and document patient's status throughout procedures Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including surgeons and anesthesia providers Prepare suites for cases, ensuring all equipment and supplies are managed efficiently Maintain compliance with facility protocols and regulatory standards Float to other units not required

Additional Role Details:
