Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in thoracic and vascular operating room environments to contribute to a dynamic surgical team. This contract opportunity involves working with a Level 1 trauma center renowned for advanced procedures, within an OR setting of over 1,000 beds, including 56 OR suites and 5 procedural rooms.

Schedule/Hours:

12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (9:00 AM to 9:00 PM). Days vary based on unit needs; block scheduling is not available. Flexibility for late stays required depending on surgical load.

Required Qualifications:

Active RN license (Tennessee or compact state) on file at time of submission. Current certification (submit proof with application). Minimum of 2 years' recent operating room experience. Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred. Thoracic/vascular team experience is mandatory. Proficient in endovascular cases as a circulator and scrub; must have scrub experience. Comfortable with transplant, trauma, neuro, and other complex case types. Experience with adult patients only (no pediatrics).

Key Responsibilities:

Circulate and scrub on thoracic, vascular, and endovascular surgical cases for adult patients. Support a wide spectrum of cases: neuro, trauma, ortho, GYN, urology, cardiothoracic, transplant, plastics, robotic, and more. Provide collaborative care in a fast-paced OR suite, occasionally floating between rooms as needed. Remain flexible to meet rapidly changing case schedules, late stays, and evolving unit needs.
