Order Pullers are a vital part of our fast-paced distribution operation. The Order Puller role is responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting, building, and preparing customer orders for delivery. Primary responsibilities include reading pick tickets, operating an electric pallet jack through cooler zones, inspecting cases for quality, wrapping, and staging completed pallets for the shipper before each route departs. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, comfortable working in cold conditions, detail-oriented, and reliable across a six-day operation week. Reads and interprets pick tickets and order sheets to locate the correct produce items, lots, and quantities for each customer order. Selects and pulls produce inventory from assigned warehouse locations using First-In-First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expired-First-Out (FEFO) rotation Operates an electric pallet jack safely and efficiently throughout the shift to move product between pick locations, the staging area, and the shipping dock. Builds stable, properly weighted pallets by placing heavier and sturdier cases on the bottom and lighter or crushable items on top to prevent product damage in transit. Inspects each case selected for visible damage and reports any quality concerns to the Shipping Supervisor before staging the pallet. Tags completed pallets with the correct customer label, route, and stop identifiers, and wraps each pallet securely with stretch film prior to delivering it to the shipper. Delivers staged pallets to the loading area within the daily shipping window so that drivers can load and dispatch routes on schedule. Verifies that each completed order is accurate, complete, and free of damage before releasing it to the shipper. Maintains a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area throughout the shift, including aisles, pick locations, and the staging zone, in compliance with OSHA standards and company sanitation procedures. Complies with all Matrana's Produce safety policies, food-safety standards, OSHA requirements, and HACCP-aligned handling practices for produce-contact roles. Communicates stock-outs, mis-slotted product, location discrepancies, or equipment issues to the Shipping Supervisor in real time so that orders are corrected before they ship. Performs end-of-shift duties as assigned by the Shipping Supervisor, including sweeping, mopping, breaking down trash and shrink wrap, pallet wrapping, inventory checks, and plugging electric pallet jacks in for charging. Assists other warehouse team members and supports cross-functional needs during peak volume, holidays, and special-event orders (for example, parade and ship-supply runs) to ensure customer commitments are met.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Reads, writes, and communicates in English at a level sufficient to follow pick tickets, safety signage, and verbal instructions. Performs basic addition, subtraction, and counting to verify case quantities and order totals. Operates an electric pallet jack or completes Matrana's in-house pallet jack training within the first 30 days of hire. Demonstrates attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work productively in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment. Works effectively both independently and as part of a warehouse team.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience operating an electric pallet jack, walkie-rider, or similar powered industrial truck. Familiarity with FIFO or FEFO inventory rotation and basic produce-quality identification. Working knowledge of HACCP, food-safety, or cold-chain handling concepts. Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese) to support team communication.REQUIRED EDUCATION

Refrigerated environment with cooler zones generally maintained between approximately 35°F and 55°F, depending on commodity.Noise Level:
Moderate. Hearing protection is not generally required but is available on request.Environment:
