Orders & Fulfillment (O&F) Assistant and Driver is an essential position that connects the production, culinary, and fulfillment teams in Weston and Kansas City. At the direction of the O&F Manager and Director of Dairy Operations, they assist in packaging our products for sale while maintaining our food safety protocols and product traceability program. They present our products by preparing packages for wholesale and direct customers. They are also responsible for the safe and sanitary transportation of milk from our farm to the production facility, transporting milk from a sheep dairy in Wisconsin as much as every other week, delivering packaged cheese to the airport or for local pickup, and transporting goods between our culinary teams in Weston and Kansas City. This position reports directly to the O&F Manager.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Assist with aged cheese wrapping and fresh cheese packaging as directed by the O&F Manager Accurately and efficiently fulfill orders and prepare shipments as directed by the O&F Manager Safe and sanitary milk, product, and supply transportation: Transport milk from the Weston Farm to the KC production facility Transport milk from a sheep dairy in Wisconsin to GDF cheese kitchens (seasonal, every other week on Sun/Mon) Transport yogurt and other products from Deerland Dairy to the O&F space in Weston Transport wrapped cheese to the O&F space in Weston Transport packaged cheese to the airport and to KC for local pickup Transport supplies between the Weston and KC facilities Keep the company vehicles clean and in good working order Manage the maintenance of the company vehicles Maintain accurate records for all production activities in accordance with our traceability program Maintain clean and organized production, fulfillment, and storage areas Assist with weekly and monthly inventory of cheese and supplies Adhere to sanitary protocols in the Cheese Kitchen and O&F space and throughout the shipping and delivery process

Job Requirements:

Maintain an excellent driving record with no moving violations. Must be able to commute to the Creamery and Farm in Weston, MO, as well as Green Dirt on Oak in Kansas City, MO Complete Bulk Milk Hauler's Licensing and Food Safety training - provided by GDF Complete USDOT commercial vehicle driver's requirements - provided by GDF Requires strict attention to detail and accuracy in traceability and verification documentation Must adhere to strict sanitary operating procedures to maintain the quality and safety of our food products at all times Must be comfortable standing for long periods, bending, stooping and lifting up to 50 lbs May be required to work in hot and cold environments Some Spanish language skills preferred but not required

Compensation & Benefits Compensation:

$17-20 depending on experience. Paid bi-weekly on Fridays Paid time off based on years worked for the company (see Employee Handbook for full paid time off requirements and details), plus an additional 3 paid holidays: July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Green Dirt Farm will cover $355.60 of the premium cost for health care plans offered by GDF.
