Full Job Description Description:
Have you ever worn a retainer or had a child or friend who did? Maybe you needed an expander or Herbst appliance? There is great skill involved in making those appliances! We are looking for a few career-oriented people who are looking for long-term positions and want to make a difference in peoples' lives. We create smiles for children and adults by making custom-fit, hand-made appliances per their Orthodontist's prescription. The work requires a high degree of skill and precision while using equipment like hand tools, bench lathes, electric welding machines, flame soldering machines, machine polishers, and precision model trimmers. If you enjoy working with your hands, are good with small pieces and are very detail-oriented, this may be the career for you!
SCHEDULE
Full-time or Part-time Flexibility, with work hours Monday through Friday (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, GED equivalency, or currently enrolled Experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment a plus Ability to understand and interpret work instructions High attention to detail and good organizational skills Proficiency working with small parts, hand tools, and other small equipment preferred Good eye-hand coordination, with the ability to see details at close range Good manual dexterity, with the ability to perform and coordinate steady hand and arm movement Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods depending upon task being performed Ability to walk and carry parts, materials, etc. between departments
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Reliable and consistent attendance and punctuality Design and manufacture custom orthodontic devices including removable and fixed appliances such as retainers, night guards, expanders, space maintainers, and custom trays based on the orthodontist's specification/design Ability to understand prescription and manufacture dental appliances per Doctor's design Interpret dental impressions, molds, or digital scans to create accurate models and ensure that the appliances meet the specific requirements of each patient Operate specialized equipment, including handpieces, dental lathes, CAD/CAM software, 3D printers, and laser welders, to produce precise orthodontic appliances Conduct thorough inspections of all appliances to ensure they meet high standards of quality, functionality, and aesthetics Work with various orthodontic materials, including wires, plastics, and resins, to create durable and safe appliances Maintain accurate records of production, materials used, and case progression for each patient Ability to meet or exceed production requirements for areas of assignment Ability to produce products that meet or exceed quality requirements for area of assignment Follow all safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE as required Ability to understand and follow requirements of the quality system Safeguard and protect confidentiality of company and patient information as defined by the company's Confidentiality Agreement Understand how one's performance can impact the success of the organization and product quality Ability to use computer for scanning and to navigate through company intranet
