JOB OVERVIEW
Anderson Sports Medicine is growing, and we are looking to add a dedicated Medical Assistant/Scribe to our team. Our practice provides comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care, including both surgical and non-operative treatment. This role works closely with our team of two physicians, physician assistant, and nurse practitioner to help deliver an exceptional patient experience. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a team setting, communicates professionally, and is eager to learn and grow within orthopedic and sports medicine care.
POSITION DETAILS
Job Type:
Full-time Schedule:
Monday - Friday (no night or weekends)
Pay Range:
$16-$21/hour, based on experience, clinical background, and EMR proficiency
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately observe and document patient encounters, examinations, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record (Modernizing Medicine EMA) Assist providers with clinic flow and daily patient care coordination Prepare injections and assist with additional clinical procedures and patient preparation as needed Review, update, and maintain accurate patient medical records Answer and manage patient phone calls and clinical communications professionally and efficiently Collaborate with providers and staff to support an organized, productive, and patient-focused clinic environment Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior medical assistant and/or medical scribe experience preferred Orthopedic, sports medicine, or other specialty clinic experience strongly preferred Experience with EMR systems required (Modernizing Medicine experience is a plus) Strong typing and computer skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 1 year of medical assisting experience preferred Minimum 1 year of EMR experience required
Pay:
$16.00 - $21.00 per hour
