Staff Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description Job Description Summary The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for accounting functions for multiple domestic entities. The responsibilities for this position include assisting with the month-end close process, preparing monthly reconciliations, and analyzing/explaining account fluctuations. The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager. The duties and responsibilities of a Staff Accountant will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Assist in the month end closing process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations Support the year-end financial reconciliation and tax preparation process with internal tax consultants Infrequently complete sales tax filings for small businesses Collaborate with various clients outside the organization monthly Maintaining fixed asset system, adds, disposals and reconciliation Book monthly equipment sales and calculate commissions. •

Computer Skills:

Intermediate skills in

Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Desktop or Online:

Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and effectively

Ability to communicate effectively across a diverse customer-base; good verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with individuals at all levels, both inside and outside the organization. Must be able to work well with a team and independently.

Preferred Requirements:

Work Experience :

3-5 years of experience working in an accounting or finance department with QuickBooks Desktop and Online. Working with property management or multi business accounting is helpful but not required.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

Computer Skills:
