Job Description

Wayne Memorial Hospital, located in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, is a non-profit community hospital providing high-quality inpatient and outpatient care. Recognized as a Certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center, the hospital offers advanced services, including a state-of-the-art Heart & Vascular Center with a cardiac catheterization laboratory. With 90 acute-care beds and specialized rehabilitation services, it serves over 100,000 residents in Wayne, Pike, Lackawanna, Susquehanna, and Luzerne Counties. As part of the Wayne Memorial Health System, the hospital is committed to delivering comprehensive healthcare services with a focus on improving community well-being. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Orthopedic Physician based in Honesdale, PA. The Orthopedic Physician will be responsible for diagnosing and managing musculoskeletal conditions, performing medical and surgical interventions, and providing consultations to our physicians as needed The role includes collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, and maintaining accurate medical records. Additional duties may include participation in community outreach and healthcare education initiatives.
Job Requirements:
Expertise in Orthopedic Medicine, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgical procedures Strong skills in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and developing treatment plans Experience with rehabilitation services and post-surgical care coordination Proficiency in medical documentation and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulatory standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, with valid Pennsylvania medical license Board Certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery Experience in a hospital or community healthcare setting is advantageous
