Orthopedic Surgeon Hoboken, NJ 07030 From $92,346.52 a year - Full-time From $92,346.52 a year - Full-time Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Orthopedic Surgeon, where you will play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and managing musculoskeletal conditions. This exciting opportunity allows you to utilize your surgical expertise to improve patient mobility and quality of life. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive orthopedic care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through innovative procedures and compassionate service. Your expertise will directly impact patients' recovery journeys, helping them regain strength and independence. Duties Perform surgical procedures on bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles to treat injuries, deformities, or diseases Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and review of medical histories Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating surgical interventions, physical therapy, and post-operative care Utilize advanced medical imaging techniques such as MRI, CT scans, and X-rays for accurate diagnosis and surgical planning Manage perioperative care to ensure patient safety before, during, and after surgeries Collaborate with radiology teams for interventional procedures like vascular interventional radiography or catheterization when applicable Maintain detailed medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations Engage in clinical research or quality improvement initiatives to advance orthopedic practices and patient care standards Experience Medical degree from an accredited institution with completion of an orthopedic surgery residency program Board certification or eligibility in orthopedic surgery required Proven experience performing complex orthopedic surgeries with proficiency in suturing and wound care techniques Familiarity with medical imaging modalities including CT scans and MRI interpretation for diagnostic evaluation Experience working within hospital settings, Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA and CPT coding for billing purposes Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and pathology related to musculoskeletal health Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient assessment and education Prior experience utilizing EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for documentation and care coordination Critical care experience or familiarity with inpatient management is a plus for handling complex cases Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through expert orthopedic care!
