OT-Home Health-Part-Time/PRN

Velocity Home Healthcare is looking for a W2 employee or Independent contractor-Occupational Therapist in the Northern VA area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Occupational Therapist (OT) to perform upper body therapeutic exercises and instruct in activities such as meal preparation, toileting, grooming, and bathing within the patients home. Occupational Therapist to also assist with energy conservation strategies, assess need for adaptive equipment, and address safety needs in order to return the patient to their prior level of function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluate the physical conditions and limitations of the patient Implement an individualized plan of care for the patient Communicate plan of care to referring physician and the care team Provide caregiver education and training as needed Recommend and instruct patient in the use of various types of adaptive equipment to improve function.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have a valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of VA Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program Applicants must possess basic computer literacy skills. Current documentation program is Wellsky (Kinnser) Prefer at least one year of home health experience. Not mandatory Current CPR certification Professional Liability Insurance or be willing to purchase (Cost=approx $100/year) Valid driver's license and vehicle with insurance policy

OT SHOULD POSSESS

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a team Aptitude in problem-solving ability Professional attitude and good communication skills.

WORK LOCATION

Fairfax County Arlington County Cities of Falls Church, Alexandria, Manassas/Manassas Park Prince William County Loudoun County •Coverage of at least 2 areas preferable

Salary:

$65-$120 per visit

Per visit rate negotiable based on experience.
