Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OTR (Over-the-Road) Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. This role involves transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all regulations and company policies. Candidates should be comfortable operating various types of trailers, including flatbed and refrigerated trailers, and possess the ability to handle manual transmission vehicles. You will be home weekly or bi-weekly depending on preference and load. Responsibilities Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently over long distances. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary. Ensure all cargo is secured properly for transport to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and maintenance records. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation and safety. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience with flatbed trailers, refrigerated trailers, or dump trucks is preferred. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols. Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines consistently. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team when necessary. Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
