Outdoor Rental Associate

La Conner Paddles is looking for a friendly, reliable, and outdoors‑loving team member to help with kayak rentals and light shop/plant care. This is a great first job for a high‑school student who enjoys the water, meeting people, and learning new skills. Responsibilities Kayak Rental Support Welcome customers and provide friendly service Help customers choose kayaks and fit life jackets Assist with loading/unloading kayaks Give basic safety instructions Clean and rinse kayaks and gear after use Customer Service Answer questions about rentals and local waterways Handle payments, waivers, and check‑ins Keep the shop area tidy and organized Basic Facilities/Plant Care Water plants and maintain a clean, welcoming environment Light sweeping, trash removal, and general upkeep Other Duties Help with simple tasks as needed Support a fun, safe, positive atmosphere for visitors Qualifications Friendly attitude and willingness to learn Comfortable working outdoors Able to lift kayaks with assistance Responsible and punctual No experience required — we will train!
