This role requires expertise in turbomachinery components, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to position engineered solutions for customers in the oil & gas, power generation, and heavy industrial sectors.
Essential Duties:
Drive revenue growth by developing new business opportunities within target industrial markets Build and maintain long-term relationships with engineers, maintenance managers, procurement teams, and other key decision-makers Identify opportunities for bearing and seal repair, manufacturing, retrofit, and replacement solutions Evaluate customer requirements, specifications, and drawings to define project scope and recommend engineered solutions Lead quoting, pricing, proposal development, and negotiation efforts for high-value projects Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to ensure successful project execution Maintain a strong field presence through customer visits, networking, and industry engagement Provide market intelligence and support strategic business development initiatives Represent capabilities related to babbitt bearing manufacturing and repair, sealing systems, precision machining, and OEM replacement solutions Maintain professionalism and responsiveness in high-pressure customer environments
Requirements/Skills:
Experience supporting rotating equipment within oil & gas, power generation, or heavy industrial industries Background in service sales related to bearings, seals, machining, or turbomachinery components Strong understanding of babbitted bearings, sealing systems, and rotating equipment applications Proven track record of achieving sales targets and maintaining strong customer relationships Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills Ability to identify customer needs and effectively communicate technical solutions Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in industrial sales, machining, manufacturing, or related services Valid driver's license required Ability to pass pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background screening Must be authorized to work in the United States Ability to travel 75% or more as required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel extensively to customer sites and industry events Ability to work in office, manufacturing, and industrial environments Ability to stand, walk, and navigate shop environments with moving mechanical equipment Ability to work around moderate noise and exposure to metal particles while following required PPE and safety standards
