Job Description

SUMMARY The Desert Mountain Sales Representative will sell bulk and packaged dust control, erosion control, road and soil stabilization, and deicing products to small and large businesses, mines, government agencies, industrial and manufacturing companies, or individuals. Communication with prospects and customers will be via email, over the telephone, and in person by traveling the state of Texas on a frequent basis. You will be outside - on job sites - to view prospective projects, supervise application of our products, and stay in touch with current customers. Experience in selling to the following markets is preferred, but not required: Mining Industrial/Manufacturing Non-Residential Construction Government Agencies This is a Full Time Regular, Benefit Eligible position. DOE. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Researches, develops and compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads Follows up with prospective and current customers by personal visits and telephone contacts Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers Provides and discusses product features and benefits, to include product demos, with prospective customers and current customers Responsible for establishing quotes, pricing, and credit terms Coordinates and provide prospective customer and current customer education and training Maintain accurate data tracking and account activity information for reporting to management Build competitor knowledge to identify and develop Desert Mountain's unique selling propositions and differentiators Prepares weekly reports of prospecting activities and business transactions Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries Travels to and attends trade shows Builds and maintains customer relationships Creates revenue and profit for the company Works in a team environment with the company departments in a day-to-day management of customers Enhance Desert Mountain's use of marketing, sales technologies, and techniques (e.g. CRM, Sales Campaigns, Web Generators, Hoovers Concierge, etc.) to capture potential customers. Responsible for maintaining customer information in CRM program. Must be highly proficient with understanding basic computer programs Proven ability to "think outside the box" when it comes to prospecting sales and the sales thought processes Minimum Travel Required - 25%
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of lead generation strategies, sales and order processes Must be able to read and understand financial statements, proformas, business plan, and budgets Develop key performance indicators necessary for success Knowledge of CRM and business operations software Knowledge of expense budget management SKILLS Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and, therefore, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and set policies and initiatives. Ability to effectively use CRM and sales reports to generate metrics and dashboards Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. The ability to reason and apply principles of logic to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. The ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables, to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is essential to the performance of this job. Excellent communication skills; verbal and written. High level of proficiency using the computer, MS Office Software programs, Google Docs, the Internet, and other general business software.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent professional sales training with 3-5 years related experience and/or training; Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
