Project Consultant (Outside Sales)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for driving sales growth by developing relationships with homeowners, contractors, and businesses, presenting our roofing, siding, gutters, and windows solutions, and closing sales. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a passion for achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Lead Generation:
Proactively identify and generate leads through various channels such as referrals, networking, canvassing, and digital marketing initiatives. Conduct consultations with homeowners or business clients to understand their exterior improvement needs.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring trust and satisfaction throughout the sales process. Work closely with the Inside Sales team to ensure client satisfaction, addressing inquiries, concerns, and follow-ups promptly.
Product Presentation & Proposal Development:
Present tailored solutions for roofing, siding, gutters, and windows, showcasing the benefits, materials, and installation processes. Prepare accurate and competitive estimates, contracts, and proposals.
Market Knowledge:
Stay informed about industry trends, materials, pricing, and competitors to position the company effectively. Attend industry events or training sessions to enhance knowledge and expertise.
Collaboration & Reporting:
Work closely with the production, installation, and customer service teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and outcomes using CRM tools. Provide regular updates to the sales manager on performance metrics and market feedback.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in roofing, siding, gutters, windows, or a related home improvement field. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to effectively present solutions and close sales deals. Knowledge of exterior construction materials and processes is a plus. Proficiency in CRM tools and basic computer applications. Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
Travel to customer sites for consultations, inspections, and sales presentations. Occasional evening or weekend availability to accommodate customer schedules.
